The Senior QA Manager will work in a small distributed QA team that has full responsibility for testing all production software applications.

This person must be able to work with product management and developers to understand requirements and development issues, including attending a daily scrum call.

Position duties include writing test plans and procedures from requirements, executing test procedures, and mentoring junior QA engineers.



Required Skills:
• Five to ten years of software QA experience
• Experience writing comprehensive test plans and detailed test procedures from requirements specifications for functional and regression testing
• Ability to mentor junior QA engineers, including writing test documentation for them to execute
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in an environment with significant telecommuting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to escalate questions quickly when needed, and to work well under pressure both independently and with the team
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Extensive experience with automation tools is desired
• Proven ability to manage a team and be hands on
Pluses:
• Experience in testing telephony applications, especially ones on VoIP
• Experience with agile test tools and methodologies
• Experience with automated test tools (open source tools preferred)
