Our client has an opening for self-motivated and enthusiastic QA Manager. It is 3 months contract-to-hire positio in Jacksonville, FL.
Job Description:
Develop and maintain the processes of the the client desktop quality assurance. Also provides consulting for software development or operations processes, quality practices, quality audits and software measurements to product development or operations teams within the Desktop. May also conduct studies regarding the effectiveness of quality practices and productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and maintains a quality plan that defines all actions, deliverables, responsibilities and procedures to satisfy the user/customer quality and validation/qualification requirements
2. Creates and maintains processes to improve efficiency and productivity and to incorporate best practices
3. Supports the preparation of risk assessments
4. Recommends or develops tools to improve quality programs and quality tracking
5. Conducts internal studies and/or audits on client and product development and works with operations team to evaluate if processes and deliverables fulfill the requirements for quality
6. Uncover errors or deficiencies in processes and deliverables, identifies strengths and opportunities for improvements; studies and audits include issues such as productivity and quality
7. Manages and\or participates in the overall auditing process
8. Monitors applicable business unit work to ensure consistency and compliance with standard processes
9. Contributes to the tactical and strategic planning for future quality programs
10. Stays current with process-related industry standards
11. Communicates quality information throughout the organization
12. Leads and mentors quality assurance team members.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of applicable experience and education.
2. 3-5 years of quality assurance management experience.
3. 5 or more years of experience as a quality engineer/analyst with an emphasis on process involvement, quality and risk assessments, quality audits and studies or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4. Thorough knowledge and use of process improvement and quality management methods, tools and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software or business operations processes for which the quality program will be focused.
5. Considerable knowledge and qualification in company’s standard processes.
6. Thorough knowledge and experience conducting risk analyses quality assessments, audits and\or studies; and implementing successful process improvement programs.
7. Considerable knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC).
8. Considerable knowledge of the software applications, business operations and processes used within the Desktop.
9. Considerable skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving.
10. Skill in basic statistics.
11. Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve the company and project goals.
12. Ability to influence and motivate employees.
13. Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with technical and non-technical individuals at various levels of management and non-management positions.
14. Ability to communicate with individuals at a level appropriate for the audience.
15. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
16. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
17. Ability to effectively lead, direct and manage under pressure.
