Microsoft is key partner and client for Covestic and we are always looking for exceptional Project Managers to serve our growing business. Ideal candidates will have previous Project Management success leading phases within the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of SDLC projects which may include: leading a phase(s) on the product release train, overseeing selection and assimilation of 3rd party software solutions/services or managing the development of custom applications to meet client needs.

The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
' Establishing project scope, goals, timelines and constraints
' Developing a resourced plan to achieve the goals within the constraints
' Developing detailed project plan, schedule and resource assignments
' Tracking and reporting overall project status to executives and stakeholders
' Resolving and escalating project impacting issues
' Managing business and stakeholder expectations
' Delivering presentations and facilitating meetings across both business and technical audiences
' Assembling and leading a cross-functional project team through the entire project life cycle--requirements, design, development, test, implementation, rollout and support.
' Leading requirements definition efforts and ongoing change/scope management.
' Establishing a roadmap for delivery of multi-phased releases.
' Consulting with systems architects and developers to determine and select implementation options.
' Facilitating technical troubleshooting and problem resolution.
' Leading software/vendor selection activities (e.g., RFP) and managing 3rd party coordination.
'Accepting accountability for project success


Experience - External:
' 7+ years of IT experience in pure Microsoft technologies
' 5+ years of Project Management experience
' Demonstrated success delivering multiple, full lifecycle SDLC projects.
' Working knowledge of multiple SDLC methodologies including waterfall, iterative and agile (MSF experience preferred).
' Previous software development experience and/or education preferred.
' History of delivering large, complex SDLC projects to schedule, scope and budget requirements.
' Working knowledge of several Microsoft technologies such as: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64, IIS 7, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Microsoft Visual Studio 9, programming languages (C#, C++, XML)
' Previous Microsoft experience with at least 1 year in a Project Management role
' Ability to establish and maintain project scope based on ambiguous and dynamic requirements.
' Experience setting priorities for technical professionals
' Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and delegate tasks as needed
' Demonstrated knowledge of project planning, tracking and reporting
' Ability to assemble and motivate a highly productive project team.
' Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and motivation during successful projects Strong written and verbal communication skills across business and technical audiences.
' Ability to facilitate group consensus and negotiate compromises.
' Familiarity with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). PMP certification a plus.
' Proficient with MS Office Tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) and SharePoint.
